This 'Local List' has been produced in order to assist users of Bath & North East Somerset Council's Development Control service when making applications for planning permission or other similar consents.
Background
From 6th April 2008, the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) introduced a mandatory Standard Application Form known as 1APP and this is also accompanied by changes to the procedures involved in the validation of applications. DCLG has published a 'national' list of mandatory information that must be submitted with every planning application. In addition to the 'national' list, Government has also published a list of additional requirements which local planning authorities are encouraged to adapt to suit their individual circumstances. Once consulted upon and formally adopted, this document of additional requirements will be used in order to determine whether a submitted application is valid. This document will be known as the 'Local List'.
